About Lowlander Grand Cafe

Situated on Drury Lane on the edge of Covent Garden, we have been open for 20 years specialising in Belgian cuisine and Belgian beers. Our speciality dishes include Moules frites, Stoovflees and other classic dishes with a modern twist. With over 250 Belgian and craft beers we have become a mecca for beer lovers everywhere. We pride ourselves in using fresh produce and have over 25 different styles of beer.

We are looking for a full-time CDP to complement our established team who has been with us for over 10 years.

About the role & responsibilities:

  • Good knowledge of handling standard kitchen appliances such as grills, ovens, fryers, salamanders, slow cookers, mandolins, dish washer etc.
  • Food preparation using relevant spec books. Able to cook to a high standard & must be able to do all sections including pass, grill, salad & pot wash sections
  • Competent in due diligence paperwork, FSMS, Health & Safety procedures
  • Help maintain neatness and tidiness of the kitchen such as organizing sections to closing all sections
  • Placing all orders via email/ordering systems inc. Apps & calling
  • Calm and under control during service
  • Completion and submission of all necessary paperwork
  • Able to manage kitchen in the absence of head chef inc. holidays
  • Must be flexible for busy Central London kitchen
  • Level 3 hygiene preferably but level 2 acceptable (in date)
  • Able to come up with daily specials & liaise with kitchen manager if there are any maintenance issues

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £12.95-£14.09 per hour
