The Role
We are seeking to employ a Café Assistant to maximise customer experience and support the café management and team.
The successful candidate must be trustworthy, reliable, friendly, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills. An ability to work under pressure is essential.
This position will cover shifts 07:00 – 14:00 & 10:00 – 18:00 on a rota basis as well as staff sickness and holidays to support the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee & tea
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for students & staff
- Handle cash transactions and maintain a tidy and organized workspace
- Assist in light food preparation and maintain knowledge of menu items
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the café
Person Specification
Knowledge, Experience and skills
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the hospitality industry/ café environment essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work up to 37.5 hours per week, with hours reducing during quieter months
- Ideally local to Ealing
