Your Tasks
- Operate as a member of a team in the Warehouse and Distribution (Logistics) Department.
- Ensure loads are correct as per documentation and that boards are undamaged and correctly packed.
- Undertake a comprehensive training programme to be able to load and unload vehicles.
- Attend any further training courses as required to be able to run every aspect of the Warehouse operations as necessary.
- Observe and comply with the safety precautions as detailed in the Health and Safety procedures and to ensure that safety equipment is in good order and used at all times.
- Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/ accidents are investigated and hazards are duly reported.
- Observe and comply with the Company Quality Systems as detailed in the Quality Manual.
- Liaise with the WHM / Shipping Shift Supervisor as to the condition of the boards or loading problems.
Our Requirements
- Fork Lift Truck License.
- One day Health and Safety course.
- Reasonable standard of secondary education.
- Basic standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to work a double day shift pattern (40 hour weeks).
