About the Role
The purpose of the role is to be responsible for all the basic cleaning on the Gorse Hill Studios Creactive Community site and ensure a safe environment is maintained throughout.
Prepare rooms and areas for meetings and activities and ensure the premises are cleaned as directed.
To understand and take some responsibilities for Health and Safety, ensuring compliance and statutory regulations are met.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping surfaces in the work area including living/working areas, bathrooms and kitchens.
- Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels)
- Washing kitchen napkins, floor rags and dusters
- Maintaining cleaning products and ordering new supplies when necessary (recording needs where required)
- Emptying bins and taking out the rubbish- disposing in correct bins
- Carrying out minor maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats, unclogging sinks
- Conducting disinfection and deep cleaning as calendarised by GHSCC.
- Maintaining health & safety procedures adhering to building compliance.
- Liaise with workers and contractors and oversee contractor activity on site when required.
- Act as an additional keyholder and to be available for ‘call outs’ out of normal working hours if required.
- Oversee GHSCC building/premises projects involving outside contractors and organising key holders for day to day usage of the building, preparing furniture or removing furniture and equipment in readiness for/following user groups.
- Any other duties as and when required by the organisation.
