Tutors United is an award-winning social enterprise on a mission to use the power of tutoring to break down barriers in education and enable every child to succeed. We deliver confidence-boosting, attainment-raising group tutorials to some of Planet Earth’s coolest primary school pupils. But we need your help! Currently, we are on the lookout for tutors to join us on this exciting journey in September 2023.

About the role:
- Delivering at least two hours of Maths or English to a class of six Year 5- Year 6 students per week (with opportunities for more hours if you wish!).
- Using our resources and lesson plans to deliver lessons, games, and activities.
- Providing written lesson feedback for parents.
- Communicating and translating effectively with students and parents, including those who speak Somali.
- Attending and participating in our professional skills-focused training days throughout the year.

No prior experience required; we just ask that you:
- Have a 6 or above (B or above) in Maths & English at GCSE level.
- Fluent in Somali.
- Are happy to tutor at least once per week on a weekday afternoon (usually 4.00pm-6.00pm).
- Attend our subsequent three compulsory top-up training sessions throughout the 2023/24 academic year.
- Have an existing right to work in the UK.
- Share our vision to close the attainment gap in education.
- Are punctual, keen to take on responsibility, and have a can-do attitude.
