Office Administrator (Sales)

Location: Barking

Salary: £25,000

Shift Pattern: 2 week rolling rota

Week 1: Sunday to Friday, 48 hours (9am – 5pm)

Week 2: Monday to Friday, 40 hours (11am – 7pm)

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for 2 Office Administrators who will be based at our Barking Head Office. The role of the Office Administrator is to support the sales and production teams with administrative tasks and manage key internal processes with the sales and production team function.

At Davin Foods we supply the top 5* hotels in London and the Home Counties, Event Caterers, and we are a key supplier to the Sports and Leisure industry supplying to major sporting events and stadiums, with freshly prepared fruit & vegetables.

Accountabilities:

  • To answer all calls presented professionally, accurately, and consistently providing the customer with an efficient and effective service.
  • To effectively identify customer needs and be able to resolve and deal with enquiries, in all service areas, over all available channels (phone, e-mail) appropriately & professionally and resolve customer complaints where necessary.
  • To process orders for customer deliveries in the system in accordance with Davin Foods’ procedures, policy and values.
  • Interact with all internal departments (Transport, Warehouse, Finance, Account Management) to support customers and help solve their queries.
  • To provide customers with relevant product and service information.
  • Be pro-active in consistently achieving personal KPI’s and team targets
  • Effectively and consistently manage order cut off times and bespoke processes for all customer types including National Accounts
  • Give support to team members and assist other departments, as and when required
  • Provide administrative support to the Production team and Sales team with tasks including but not limited to; sample and credit request completion, new customer set up, preparation of customer welcome packs, holiday rota administration, ad hoc collation of information for the sales team and the internal communication on behalf of the sales team.
  • Complete special projects as instructed by the Office Manager.

To be successful in your application, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following Competencies/Skills/Experience and Knowledge:

A good general education, GCSEs including English language and Maths with grade C or above in both.

  • Substantial level of work experience in a relevant discipline
  • Previous experience as an Office Administrator would be advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great relationship builder with experience and confidence to deal with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Computer literate, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, willingness to learn and embrace new software.
